SEVDAH LP

40,00

180gr vinyl of SEVDAH LP, the first studio album of MOMBAO.
It contains a 30x180cm long 4 colors printed leaflet by Giulio Favotto and Pietro Porro.

Sevdah is a Bosnian word of Persian origin that means “consciously sinking into melancholy until you reach a state of grace and poetry.”It’s a word we discovered while we were touring the Balkans and well represents the feeling we sometimes experience when we feel eradicated, when we realize how much we lack a shared rituality that can helps us to give meaning to these complex times of radical changes.

In front of contemporary challenges, we, MOMBAO, see a way, a possibility for change and rebirth.

The vinyl also includes a fascinating visual work of two artist we are proud to have collaborated with; the internal booklet includes the pictures and photogrammetries of Giulio Favotto, who also took care of all the graphics and visual imagery of the record, hybridizing it with calligraphies, views, stamps, variations to the synthetic alphabet, versions in anarcocalligrafiamorbida, from Pietro Porro’s Grande Epistolario and D.C.P.
